Overview The objective of this technology is to provide a method for analyzing oil, gas, and water fractions in multi-phase fluid flow. This invention more particularly, relates to methods of determining the various hydrocarbon fractions in a fluid flow. This method is more accurate than prior art, and can run in a configuration whereby calibration and gas separation are not required. The filed patent provides teaching for the construction of an optical sensing device that monitors IR wavefront anomalies due to minute refractive index variations of component fractions, as well as fluid flow.
