Overview Scientists at Xerox and other companies have long sought a method of printing with dry powder with very few moving parts. This invention allows high quality, high resolution, and high speed color printing with a single pass, by combining toner particles of different colors in the standing wave toner delivery system, and moving the toner directly to the paper. The drum, developer and many moving parts are eliminated. The invention provides a new and improved means of charged toner conditioning and transport for the development of electrostatic latent images in xerography or ionography, or for delivering toner to electrostatically controlled apertures in a direct toner printing system.
